How to Add URL Parameters to Snapchat Ads

Last updated: 11 January 2026 · Applies to Snapchat Ads Manager

Snapchat needs two custom parameters added to each ad's destination URL before Juicy can attribute purchases back to it. The setup happens inside the ad's creative settings rather than at the campaign level.

⚠️ Changing the URL parameters on an active ad can push it back into the learning phase. Where possible, add the parameter to new ads rather than editing live ones.

1. Open the ad in Ads Manager

2. Open Edit Ad Creative

In the top right corner of the ad, click Edit Ad Creative to open the creative settings.

3. Add the URL parameters

Scroll to the Destination section. Under Website URL, click + Build a URL Parameter and add these two custom parameters exactly as written:

⚠️ Make sure both parameters are spelled exactly as shown above — Juicy matches on the parameter name precisely.

4. Save and publish

Click Continue, then Save or Publish to apply the changes.

✅ Done — repeat this for every active Snapchat ad. Without these parameters on a given ad, Juicy can't attribute purchases to it.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to do this for every ad?

Yes. The parameters need to be present on each individual ad — Snapchat doesn't support a single campaign-level tracking template the way Google Ads does.

What happens if I skip an ad?

Orders driven by that specific ad won't be attributed in Juicy and will show up as unattributed revenue instead of being credited to Snapchat.
